CUD tracks on two massive compilations
Out today (July 28), two new CD box sets from Cherry Red Records. The first, ‘Where Were You?’ covers the Leeds music scene from 1978 to 1989 and features just about everyone, from The Mekons, Gang of Four, Age of Chance and Soft Cell to The Wedding Present, Pale Saints and CUD. This is a great testimonial for a vibrant scene often overshadowed by those of neighbouring cities. We chose perennial crowdpleaser ‘I’ve Had It with Blondes’ as our submission. Check out the full track-listing below.
Also out today is a 4-CD baggy-centric compilation ‘Come Together‘, covering the years 1989-1992.
Naturally, there are many Manchester bands featured including Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets and James, along with dance remixes of The Primitives, The Soup Dragons, Julian Cope and the extended Farsley mix of CUD‘s Magic. Full track-listing below.
Both box sets are available through Cherry Red and the usual outlets.

We don’t have details yet about when CUD are on, and which day but we’ll let you know soon. Hope to see some familiar faces there. Tickets and accommodation available here.
